Welcome to Orange Presbyterian Church
We are a fellowship of about 185, diverse in backgrounds yet united in
our commitment to Christ and one another. We welcome you to join us on
our spiritual Journey by making a faithful response to Christ through
worship and prayer, by caring for those in need, educating others in the
ways of Christ and discovering how we each are called to participate in
this ministry.
Our Mission...
To Model Christ in All We Are and All We Do.
Our Vision
Our Communities Will be Transformed by Joyful Christian Discipleship.
Our Core Values
Love, Faith in Action, Stewardship, Spiritual Growth, and Inspiration.
Worship:
Sunday School, with classes for all ages starts at 9:45 during the school year. Worship is offered each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. (10:00 during the summer)
with child care provided for preschoolers. Older children are encouraged
to worship along with their family and friends. Our pattern of warship
follows that of Reformed Tradition with hymns, the reading of scripture,
preaching and activities of response included in most services. The Sacrament
of the Lord's Supper is celebrated the first Sunday of every month,
Baptisms occur when scheduled. Other worship opportunities include: Early
services in the summer months, special seasonal services, and prayer an
study groups that meet regularly. Resources are also provided for worship
and prayer at home.
Nursery for Preschool Age Children is provided during
worship in the church's Education Building next door. One or two church
members assist our paid attendant each Sunday to be sure our youngest
Christians have an enjoyable Sunday experience.
Church Programs
The physical facility at OPC is well used every day of the week by numerous
energetic programs benefiting the local community and giving us more opportunities
to share our Christian values with our neighbors from all walks of life. In addition to many church activities, the building is used regularly by the Presbyterian Day School, AA, Girl Scouts, Orange Cloggers, 4H, Community Chorus, Knitters, Garden Clubs, SHARE and several other organizations. The Orange County Habitat for Humanity has their office in the Administration wing.
Our strength is shown to the community through committed volunteers participating
in many uplifting organizations. Please call the church to find out how
you might help yourself by helping others through any of the following
programs:
