through August

Welcome Dr. Denise Hall
Presbyterian Minister of Word and Sacrament, PC, USA

Pastor Hall (Denise) began her ministry at OPC in September, 2006.

Who is the Denise Hall?
The following is from her Pastor Information Form.

"To the life of a congregation, I bring more than twenty years of experience as a pastor. I have the background, like many in the pews today, of choosing to be a Presbyterian. I enjoy worship leading and teaching and believe I am effective in those areas. In conflict situations I seek to be a "non-anxious presence” and a comfort in times of tragedy and grief.

I envision working cooperatively with the officers and members to offer educational opportunities to a variety of age groups; to discover projects for mission outside the church walls; and to seek ways to deepen our faith. 1he gifts I offer into this whole mix are a sense of humor and an ability of offer pastoral care in difficult situations."

"My leadership style is one where pastor and people work together as partners pursuing a common goal. It is my hope that each person recognizes his or her calling to ministry, and I believe the best decisions are made when a wide range of insights and opinions have been shared. Openness and a shared vision are important to good decision-making.

An important part of my role is to accept people where they are, encourage them, affirm their strengths, and offer a challenge for growth and new life."
