^{New Orleans Mission Trip}

Greetings from First Presbyterian Church New Orleans from Gene and Susan! (and Albert, Al, Blake and Will)

After worshiping with the congregation on Sunday and meeting our fellow team from the Chicago area, we were ready and willing to go to work this morning. The home we worked on belongs to a woman who has been living with her sister since Katrina hit. We hope to have the opportunity to meet her tomorrow. We drove through the lower Ninth Ward this evening. Gene reports it doesn't look very different from when he was here two years ago. A few brave souls are rebuilding, though they often seem to be the only houses standing in their neighborhood. more...
